Students can defeat the winter blues by participating in exciting intramural activities like pickleball, dodgeball, volleyball, rock climbing and more! Each semester, St. Catherine University, Athletics offers a variety of intramural activities that are open to all undergraduate students. The purpose of intramural sports is to offer a co-curricular environment in which students can engage in a variety of recreational sports or activities that compliment health, social involvement and play. No experience is necessary!
There are two different ways to get involved. The first is as a team captain. Team captains assemble a team to enter into a league. If students do not have a team, they can participate as a free agent. Free agents are then placed on teams.
Activities are run in two formats:
- Events – These are short one to two hour activities run on a single date.
- Leagues/Tourneys – These are short one or two hour activities run as a league (3-4 dates) and culminating with a championship tournament.
Prizes are award to participants who register and play in any three leagues or events each school year. Championship t-shirts are awarded to winners of each of the leagues throughout the school year.
Encourage your student to participate!
